Colophon

How this site is made.

A note on the type, in the old tradition

The display face is Fraunces, by Phaedra Charles and Flavia Zimbardi of Undercase Type, set with its SOFT and WONK axes at zero so the wedge serifs stay sharp. Interface text and the wordmark are Inter, by Rasmus Andersson. Agent instructions, system states and screenplay excerpts are set in IBM Plex Mono. All three are licensed under the SIL Open Font License and served from this site's own origin.

The palette is warm paper, near-black ink, and one signal coral — the colour a revised page turns. Coral appears where something is happening: a change, a mark, a way in. Every colour pairing on the site is checked against WCAG 2.2 contrast thresholds by an automated test that fails the build if a pairing regresses.

The site is statically generated with Next.js and served as plain pages. The typefaces are served from our own origin, and the one third-party script is Google Analytics, which we use to understand how the site is read. The demonstrations are original compositions, written for this site; no product screenshots were faked.

StoryProp is made by Runebook Labs LLC. The manuscript in the demonstrations, The Quiet House, does not exist — although the chipped cup feels increasingly real to us.
