Does AI book writing software force story structure onto nonfiction?

No. Nonfiction work gets nonfiction records — purpose, audience, claims, evidence and sources. Narrative theory is never imposed on work that has no plot, and a business book is not treated as a hero's journey.

How does it handle research and sources?

When the agent researches, sources are saved with provenance and retrieval dates, and the records keep source-backed claims distinct from opinions and from the agent's own synthesis. Your book's claims stay attached to where they came from.

Can it work from material I already have?

Yes. Import an existing manuscript or draft and it becomes a normal editable project; attach notes, talks or decks in chat and the agent reads them as context for the work you direct. Most nonfiction authors are not starting from zero, and StoryProp doesn't assume they are.
